Description The Lutron Maestro occupancy sensor switch combines a Maestro switch with a passive infrared occupancy or vacancy sensor. The sensor detects the heat from occupants moving within an area to determine whether the space is occupied. Based on the feedback from the sensor, the occupancy sensor switch will adjust the load accordingly. Description The Lutron Maestro LED+ Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch works just like a Lutron Maestro dimmer, with the addition of Lutron’s advanced motion sensing technology to automatically and gradually turn the lights on and off. The LED+ Motion Sensor Dimmer Switch is rated for 150W dimmable LED or 600W Incandescent/Halogen bulbs. Install in a single pole, 3-way with existing switch, or with Maestro companion dimmers (MA-R/MSC-AD) to dim from up to 9 locations. Use the raise/lower buttons to adjust the brightness for any activity or determine the preset level to ensure lights always turn on to your desired light level. The passive infrared (PIR) sensor, covered by a tamper resistant lens, detects heat from occupants moving and has a 180-degree field of view (900 sq ft major motion & 400 sq ft minor motion coverage). Equipped with smart ambient light detection (ALD), you can customize your sensing dimmer to detect daylight, so lights don't turn on when enough natural light is present in the room. Unlike other manufacturers, Lutron sensors use Cross Correlation Technology (XCT) to also detect fine motion, such as typing at a desk or reading a book – ensuring lights won’t turn off inadvertently when you’re still in the room. Easy button programming is available to customize both the dimmer and the sensor’s functions, such as timeout, occupied level and sensor mode. Lutron sensors have an adjustable timeout (1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes) to control how long the lights stay on after leaving the room. The occupied level is the brightness the sensor will turn on when motion is detected. Change the sensor to vacancy mode to meet Title 24 requirements: lights only turn on with a manual press of the tap switch but automatically turn off if the sensor no longer detects motion. Description The passive infrared sensors work by detecting the difference between heat emitted from the human body in motion and the background space. The sensor switch can turn a load ON and hold it as long as the sensor detects occupancy. After no motion is detected for the set time delay, the load turns OFF automatically.
